Clarion-Hometown inn

Staying here indefinitely. The owners are great, very helpful and friendly. Price isn't excessive. There are little things I would change (Wi-Fi is spread too thin to use is the biggest thing,) but nothing that's a deal breaker. I'm grateful to be here and not on the street

Great little hotel with new young owners who have a vision and the work ethic to see it through. Rooms are clean and well cared for. The breakfast was sparse but adequate. This is the place to stay in Clarion!

It's been my home three days a week for almost six months now. I really appreciate the two that run it. They always greet me with a big smile and are always available to help me. Also you just can't beat the price. I HIGHLY recommend this place for your travels.

Cute and accommodating. Very simple looking hotel run by fantastic staff that go above and beyond to help guests with their needs! Pet friendly with clean rooms, hallways and lobbies. Easy access and just down the street from downtown Clarion. We really enjoyed the 2 nights we stayed!

The owners are good people doing their best, and the rooms are adequate. If you need somewhere to stay in Clarion, Iowa, id recommend this place.

I needed a room to stay in for one night because my car got stuck in a ditch and the roads could not be traveled that night (February 2020). The price was great, the bed was comfortable, and it accomplished exactly what I needed. The staff was too nice and it's nice to know that you can still get a great deal in a great small town. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and friendly owners/staff. The air conditioning didn't work in the first room we were placed in, but when brought up we were moved into a new room very quickly. Also they say no pets but my family is traveling due to my boyfriend working in a different town and we had to bring our dog and they allowed our dog to stay as long as she is kept on a leash so that was very appreciated! Would recommend to someone on a budget and not looking for anything really fancy or a big breakfast in the a.m. they work with what they got though that's for sure!

I've got to say, the staff here is very friendly, willing to accommodate. Comparing to lodging prices of other hotels in surrounding area, hands down the Clarion-Hometown Inn is the best value lodging offer available. Room(s) and bathroom are spacious in size, microwave & small fridge inside room. Bath towels not the "run of the mill budget style white" as might see of other establishment(s) while spending more for lodging. Continental Breakfast & Coffee set up in lobby early mornings, friendly and quite atmosphere. Shower pressure was great w/hot temperature. Bed was comfortable, resting very well. Room furnishings were very easy upon the eye. Free WIFI offered w/strong signal, having no apparent issues. The room was comfortable, very clean and "smelling nice". Vending machine(s) in hallway were modern, stocked and reasonably priced . I see why booking reservations @ this Clarion, Iowa Hotel Establishment are difficult. Trudy and her staff make the stay a very pleasurable experience. Rarely my offer rating "5 Stars" to smaller Hotel Establishments. The Clarion-Hometown Inn and Staff earning all five(5) of these Stars..
